Jumping Jacks Nursery Bedford has built excellent, productive partnerships and strong communications with parents over the years. Good parent partnerships are crucial to giving children a positive, happy experience at the nursery and being able to share information and discuss issues openly with mums, dads and carers really benefits your child.
At Jumping Jacks:
- Parents are welcome at all times
- Your role will always be respected
- Your involvement in your child’s learning is actively encouraged
Annual Nursery Guide
All new parents receive a copy of our nursery guide which offers a no-jargon, straightforward explanation of what we do, as well as ideas for you to try at home with your child. The guide covers the Early Years Foundation Stage curriculum, the kind of play activities your child will be enjoying, plus copies of Jumping Jacks’ comprehensive policies and procedures, which range from confidentiality to war play, toy selection to healthy eating.
• Take a look at our policies & procedures for more information.
If you would like more information about any of our policies and procedures, please contact us.
Feedback On Your Child’s Progress
You will receive regular feedback, both verbally and in writing – including, when appropriate, official Early Years Foundation Stage progress checks. Your child’s key person will make a careful note of how your child is settling in and developing and will also give you some ideas to try at home. Every child has a Day Book and a Celebration of Achievement log which are filled in by staff and viewable by parents at any time.
Free Parent Workshops
Our popular parent workshops are held every couple of months and bring parents, children and nursery staff together on Saturday mornings to explore particular topics through play. It’s a great way to share information and parents can network while their children play.
